So the wonderful singer songwriter and kora player Miriam Lieberman has crowdfunded her new album. The much-anticipated follow up to one time ABC Radio National's Album of the Week, Birds of the Moon, reunites Lieberman's tight knit team. Violinist Lara Goodridge and local cellist Kate Adams add vocal harmonies as well as the depth of their instruments.
The new album, Full Circle, is again produced by Josh Schuberth, and it's lush with Lieberman's signature earthiness and soul. Blending traditional instruments with the West African kora - a 21 stringed harp - achieves something rare and startling.
